Entering a software token each time you authenticate to Assertiv can be a cumbersome process, especially if you are logging in from a trusted device.
When you are prompted for a software token, an option is given to Remember this device.
Selecting this option and continuing will ensure that when you next log in on this device you are not challenged for a software token again.
What is a 'device'?
A device is typically the browser or application you are using to access Assertiv. For example, Chrome and Firefox on the same computer would be considered two separate devices.
What happens if I clear the cache on my browser?
If you clear the cache on your browser, you should expect to be prompted for a second factor when logging in. When you remember a device, a secure device token is stored locally which allows Assertiv to identify the device. Removing this by clearing your cache will treat your browser as a new device.
